Laurie Hodack was fantastic! We had to find a realtor while living outside Michigan, and the first two we reached out to never even responded. Since the inventory is so low and houses were taken the same day they went on the market, we were watching the listings every day. Laurie helped us with advice and insights about the greater region and neighborhoods we were finding and advised us on making a competitive offer in the current environment. She really went to bat for us on the property we finally bought, convincing the seller to accept rather than wait for their planned weekend open house. The inspection and closing process went great except for the slow motion on the lender's appraiser. Laurie even helped through that by staying in touch with the listing agent, talking with our lender and offering other local appraiser names who would get the job done. In the end, we closed only one day past the original closing date, thanks to Laurie shepherding the whole process. We are knee deep now in getting our North Carolina home ready for sale, and we only wish we could use Laurie as our listing agent here!
